I’m currently lost in mitten world.
I knitted this hat a few weeks ago. It wasn’t for me, it was a request from a friend. I knitted it using local wool, grown by the Lleyn and Jacob sheep of my local biodynamic farm.
You may vaguely remember reading me talking about this hat around here before – in blog posts like this one – back when I was in the middle of knitting it.
I also made a little book to go with it, telling the story of this hat, from Fields… to Head!
Here it is:
… Keeps the doctor away!
My brain turned into wool, spun itself into yarn and I knitted it into a wearable mandala:
I will knit on a boat.
I will knit with a goat.
I will knit in the train.
I will knit in the rain.
I will knit with a fox.
I will knit in a box.
I will knit with a mouse.
I will knit in a house.
I will knit here or there.
I will knit everywhere.
…And today I did knit at the skatepark.

There are always so many ideas to experiment with…
