Blueberry plant in the morning sun

creativity, doodles, My Sketch Book

I sat in the sun on the deck chair on my patio this am and sketched one of the blueberry plants in front of me, bathing in the morning – and already hot – sun. Yes, it’s been very hot for the last couple of days, it looks like summer is here at last!

Half of the plant was very shaded and the other half was in full sun…

For those who are unaware of it, I’m participating in World Watercolor Month organised by Doodlewash. I’ve taken the challenge to post a watercolour sketch everyday this month. It’s a lot of fun, I’m really enjoying to see what other watercolorists are up to, meeting new people and it helps me make good progress in my drawing/sketching skills.

This event is also raising awareness for children in need of art supplies and art education around the globe, as Doodlewash have teamed up with The Dreaming Zebra Foundation, a charity providing support so that children and young adults are given an equal opportunity to explore and develop their creativity in the arts.
