These last few years, I’ve learned to :
- Enjoy smaller, slower things and to take my time
- Sometimes, even though I know what is in someone’s best interest, it’s best to keep it to myself and let them make their own mistakes and learn from experience
- Respect the relationship people have with animals, nature and spirituality
- Sometimes what seems to be the most ethical or healthy option is not necessarily what’s best for everyone
- Not to be too harsh with myself
- Actually I don’t know anything
- I don’t know best, and that’s fine
- I don’t have to make sure everyone likes me
- Instead of pleasing people and trying to please them I might as well be myself and see what happens
- Happiness doesn’t depend on where you are
- Parenting doesn’t have to be perfect. Children are meant to be raised by human beings not robots, and human beings are not perfect
- Nature is not perfect
- I need to go out of the front door to let the outside world permeate through me
- I need to go out in nature everyday to clear my head and to just… breath and be
- Dogmatic views is like wearing a blindfold
- When it comes to having fun, dogs and children know best
- We have a lot to learn from children and animals, if only we didn’t think that being humans and grown up make us some supreme beings of superior intelligence
- Our arrogance is what holds us back
- Self-limitations also, hold us back (and dogmatic views often are self limitations)
- Becoming a mother is what put me on a track of self-discovery, and made me realise that I didn’t know anything at all
- The beginner’s mindset is a great outlook
- Women are wise and intuitive creatures, who are all about feelings. They sense what’s best.
- 1+1=3
- Old, out-of-date masking fluid will eat your watercolour paper
- Knowing about gauge is in fact very useful in knitting
- A little self-care goes a long way, especially when homeschooling
- I do need a creative outlet otherwise I will pop
What about you? What have you learned?
That’s a dazzling painting.
And what have I learnt?
Most importantly { You might not believe it! }–You are one of the wisest bloggers I have interacted with in last 2 months. And I have interacted with more than 1000.
Isn’t that something?
I am learning from you.
I wish you love, light and happiness Noemi :)
Anand :)

:D Thank you very much Mr Tree House ;)
Your welcome, Miss. Wise
I’ve learned lots from your list! It’s a really open & interesting post so thanks for sharing :)
Thank you very much for your comment :)
No worries at all! Really enjoyed your post :)
I love the watercolour painting. That’s fabulous. So dynamic.
I could actually have contributed so many of your bullet points. As I was reading your post, I found myself nodding along in agreement.
I think among the other things I have learned the most significant are that all the things I thought were most important to me when I had a professional career are not that important in the big scheme of things and that I am happier being a SAHM then I ever could have imagined would be possible even though it is the single most challenging, difficult, exhausting, thankless but ultimately rewarding job I have ever done.
I wholeheartedly agree with you Laura :) thank you for stopping by!
I agree with your list… Especially the part about needing a creative outlet! It fits well with the big thing that I’ve learned about myself these last few years, which is that I’m a happier, better person when I only work part time 😀
